Foot Board

Последние две недели я посветил работе над Foot Board. И в очередной раз последовали вопросы от коллег на работе:

- Что это, зачем? И как же это трудно, я бы так долго не смог возится над одной вещью!

Честно говоря  и моё терпение не безгранично и поэтому в очередной раз преодолев себя и свою лень я долго примерял, очень долго, и только потом резал! Опять-таки это не то что я хочу, а очередное временное решение (надеюсь что временное) но с этими foot board я смогу спокойно ездить на мотоцикле, то есть они на 100% рабочий вариант. Плюс наконец то я решил проблему с педалью заднего тормоза. И да, я рассматривал покупку таких foot board заводского производства, но-цена на них ( и это при том что они не новые а б.у) от 4000 рублей. Так же моя ужасная «аллергия» ко всему стандартному, и «штампованному» не дали мне спокойно решиться на покупку.

Но и опять же я пошёл на компромисс. На какой?  - расскажу в другой раз. А сейчас поведаю о процессе изготовления платформ для ног.

The last two weeks I've dedicated to the work on Foot Board. And once again were followed by questions from colleagues at work:

- What is it, why? And this is so hard, I would so long could not tinkering on one thing! 

To be honest, and my patience is not infinite and therefore, once again breaking myself and my laziness I've been trying for a long time, and only then cut! Again, this is not what I want, but another workaround (hopefully temporary) but these foot board I will be able to ride a motorcycle, that is, they are 100% working version. Plus, finally I solved the problem with the rear brake pedal. And Yes, I considered the purchase of such foot board factory production, but the price on them ( and this despite the fact that they are not new but used.y) from 4000 rubles. Also my horrible "Allergy" to the standard, and "stamping" not allowed me to calmly decide on a purchase.

But again, I made a compromise. What? - I'll tell you another time. And now tell about the process of making the platforms for the feet.

Велосипед  изобретать - я не стал. Изучив то что представляют из себя HD foot board, я сделал шарниры из 15 миллиметровой профильной трубы, а так же сами board из 3 миллиметрового листового металла. По форме HD foot board в виде полукруга.

В профильной трубе просверлил по 2 отверстия на 5 миллиметров с двух сторон, вбил в торец трубы шпильки с резьбой на 12 миллиметров и в варил сварочным аппаратом заклёпки что бы это всё закрепить.

Reinvent the wheel - I did not. By examining what are HD foot board, I made the hinges from the 15 mm profile pipes, as well as themselves board from 3 mm sheet metal. Form foot HD board in the form of a semicircle.

A profile of the pipe I drilled 2 holes at 5 mm from two sides, hammered into the end of a pipe studs with thread of 12 mm and brewed welding machine rivets that all this would be to fix.

Получилось следующее, каркас для жёсткости – но не очень эстетичный.

Верхнюю часть решено было закрыть листом 3 миллиметрового  авиационного дюралюминия, благо там где я работаю его не трудно достать. И нижняя часть так же закрывается вместе с каркасом дюралюминием, всё это крепится на винты.

Единственный минус это то что foot board получились достаточно тяжёлыми, но это цена которую приходится платить не имея профессионального оборудования.

It turned out the next frame for stiffness – but not very aesthetic.

The upper part was decided to close the sheet 3 mm aircraft aluminum, the benefit of where I work it's not hard to get. And the lower part also closed together with the frame of aluminum, all attached with screws.

The only minus is that the foot board is quite heavy, but that's the price we have to pay without having professional equipment.

Но у меня была проблема с торцевой частью платформы. По определённым причинам я не могу её закрыть и защитить от коррозии метал, поэтому покрою его лаком или краской.
И собственно почти готовые foot board, осталось кое-где подточить, отшлифовать, покрасить, скрепить новыми винтами и всё готово к установке на мотоцикл!
But I had a problem with the front part of the platform. For some reason I can't close it and protect from corrosion metal, so cover it with varnish or paint.
And actually almost finished foot board, left somewhere to be sharpened, sanded, painted, new seal and screws all ready to install on the bike!
