Очередная ретро - запчасть в мою копилку. Нижняя траверса вилки springer от HD wla.
Приятно посмотреть как она сделана, и достаточно редкое у нас в России явление - это лужение сварочных швов для их защиты от коррозии. На тот момент я об этом ни чего не знал, сейчас эту технологию потихоньку вспоминают и возрождают. В то время как в США она не забыта по сей день. Её стоимость вместе с доставкой 3.548 рублей.

Первые примерки седла на мотоцикле. Всё так как я хотел. Ещё один небольшой штрих - кусочек ретро на мотоцикле.

Но вот как выгляжу я сидящим на мотоцикле мне не понравилось совсем. Седло сильно высоко расположено. При этом мотоцикл подо мной кажется маленьким - это не куда не годится.
But here's how I look sitting on the bike I did not like at all. Saddle highly highly is. The motorcycle beneath me seems small - it's bad.

Вместо одной проблемы появилось  две. Я начал уже задумываться о том что это сиденье мне не подходит. И вот эта проблема по моему мнению просто преследует всех российских кастомайзеров - суметь соблюсти внешнюю гармонию мотоцикла с наездником и без него. Вопрос остаётся открытым.
Instead of one problem appeared two. I started to think about the fact that this seat does not suit me. На днях я получил очередную посылку с достаточно редкими запчастями. Это две замечательных крышки тормозного барабана от переднего колеса рычажной вилки мотоцикла Урал. Почему эти запчасти редкие не знаю, но найти их достаточно сложно в особенности отдельно от самой вилки. И что более странно и всегда меня поражало так это невероятная ценность самих рычажных вилок мотоцикла Урал и их высокая цена (от 4000 до 12000 рублей и это б/у), которые очень просты в изготовлении и конструкция их так же проста. Такую вилку с лёгкостью можно сделать самому у себя дома. Та же телескопическая вилка гораздо сложнее в изготовлении и конструкции. Но что есть, то есть. Несколько раз я хотел купить целую вилку только лишь из-за самого тормозного барабана, но по разным причинам это сделать не получалось.  Ещё реже мне попадались сами крышки. И вот случайно увидев их в продаже, я поторопился и успел  купить за достаточно низкую цену (1300 рублей).

Одну крышку я уже почистил и установил тормозные колодки. Осталось изготовить реактивную тягу.

And more weird and always amazes me is the incredible value of lever-forks motorcycle Ural, and their high price (from 4000 to 12000 rubles, and it's used), which are very simple to manufacture and their design is simple. Such a fork can easily do yourself at home. The same telescopic fork is much harder to manufacture and design. But that is what it is. Several times I wanted to buy a fork just because of the brake drum, but for different reasons to do it did not work. Even more rarely I came across covers  brake. And by chance seeing them on sale, I jumped and managed to buy them for a low enough price (1300 rubles).
One cover I have cleaned installed the brake pads.It remains to make a jet thrust.
